Beauty with a Purpose—Catriona Gray’s Silver Lining in Giving Back

Amidst the glitz and glamour of the ballroom at City of Dreams Manila, Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray turned the spotlight on hope and education during her “Legacy Ball,” a testament to her enduring commitment to uplifting lives.

Miss Universe 2018 and Cornerstone artist Catriona Gray hosted a fundraising event titled Catriona Gray’s Legacy Ball on November 22, 2024, at the City of Dreams Manila ballroom in Parañaque City. The event was held in support of Young Focus Philippines, a non-governmental organization dedicated to empowering children and families in the Smokey Mountain area of Tondo, Manila, through education.

The star-studded evening brought together Catriona’s partners, friends, and devoted fans, all united by her inspiring mission. Guests shared their blessings for a good cause in a night filled with music, fashion, and a sense of purpose.

The event’s success was made possible through partnerships with City of Dreams Manila, Nobu, and DreamPlay, alongside the generous support of sponsors such as Sailun Tires, Belo Medical Group, Uma Nota, Cetaphil, Urban Smiles, Jhaena Jewels, Strokes Beauty, and Tancinco, Mangco and Associates Law Office.

Young Focus Philippines, founded in 2008, believes in education as a powerful tool to break the cycle of poverty. Starting with just 225 beneficiaries, the organization has since expanded its reach to 936 children and young adults, enrolling them in school and providing a brighter future. Catriona has been a tireless advocate for the organization’s work since her Miss Universe reign in 2018.

Highlighting the night’s philanthropic spirit, Catriona auctioned off select fashion pieces from her career, raising funds to support Young Focus. This auction was a labor of love years in the making, delayed only by the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.
